Anthony John’s participates and supports many charitable organizations through out the year. Every year we are a sponsor at Cancer Care of Maine’s Champion the Cure Challenge in August. While we are not able to donate to every donation request we get. Please download our form fill it out mail or drop off at our location. We review donation requests each month. Thank you.

SPA Etiquette

To Schedule your Anthony John's appointment please call (207)-907-4263. We encourage you to book your appointments in advance. Groups or parties may require further advance notice to secure the date you are booking. Parties of 3 or more may require a group contract with deposit. Please notify the front desk if you are pregnant or have any medical conditions or allergies. A valid credit card will be required to secure your reservations at the time of booking. Prices are subject to change without prior notification.

Arrival

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to fill out any necessary paperwork and prepare you for your appointment. If your appointment is for a spa day, you will be provided with a locker, robe and slippers.

Cancellation/Late Show Policy

Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged in full. Late arrivals will result in a shortened appointment or an appointment rescheduling (charges apply)

Spa Environment

At Anthony John's we strive to provide you with a relaxing environment. Please be respectful and considerate of others and refrain from using your cell phone. Please leave valuables at home as Anthony John's cannot be held responsible for loss of personal items.

Q. Who can assist me with making my appointments?

A. A spa and salon coordinator can assist you with all your appointment needs.

Q. I am planning a wedding and would like information on your services?

A spa and salon coordinator can assist you with any appointment needs accommodation needs and planning. Please also check out our Bridal page by clicking HERE.

Q. When should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive 15 min prior to your appointment. Arriving late will possibly interfere with your service. All appointments will end at their scheduled time so that the next guest will not be delayed. Treatment times are not extended based on late arrivals.

Q. Can I cancel my appointment?

Please call as soon as you need to cancel. We do require 24 hour notice for cancellations. This will also ensure you do not get charged for the appointment.

Q. What if I have heath problems?

Please notify our front desk coordinator before booking treatments if you are pregnant, have allergies, high blood pressure, any physical ailments, diabetes or any kind of bacterial, fugal or dermatitis. This will prepare our staff far in advance to provide the best possible spa treatment or therapy for you. When receiving your treatment, the service provider will address your needs based on your personal assessment. They will speak to you about the temperature, pressure, music, product and sequence of service they are providing. You may also communicate to us how you are feeling during your service, and if there is anything specific you would like to address, please inform your service provider.

Q. Should I shave before my body treatments?

Shaving is not recommended before body treatments or men’s facials. If you choose to shave, please shave at least four hours prior to your service.

Q. What should I wear for my massage or body treatment?

That is entirely up to you. It is recommended during a body treatment or massage that those treatments are enjoyed without clothing although undergarments may be worn if preferred. Professional draping is performed throughout the duration of the service for privacy.

Q. Can I get a massage if I am pregnant?

A. You must be through your first trimester.

Q. Do gift cards expire?

A. Gift cards do not expire

Q. What if my gift card is lost or stolen?

A. Anthony John’s is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards.

Q. What methods of payment do you accept?

A. Cash, Check (in State) with proper Id. Discover, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Anthony Johns Gift cards.

Q. Is tipping necessary?

A. Gratuity may be provided at the clients discretion. Gratuity of 18% will be automatically charged on any spa days. Large parties with contracts will have a 20% gratuity automatically added on to their services.

Q. Can I get a spray tan if pregnant or nursing?

A. We do not recommend spray tanning to pregnant or nursing clients.

Q. What precautions should be taken before waxing?

A. Please inform us of any medication you are taking that may cause sensitivity to waxing. Any retinol products or acne medications.

Q. How long should my hair be for waxing?

A. Before you arrive please make sure your hair is ¼ of an inch long.

Q. Are children welcome at the spa/salon?

A. Children are welcome at Anthony John’s we just ask that they be supervised at all times.

Q. Is there an age requirement?

A. Written parental consent is required for body treatments and massages for anyone under age 18.

Q. What special preparations should be done for wedding parties coming in?

A. Hair should already be washed and dried if you are getting up do’s. If you are getting make up done make sure you have washed your face and have no makeup on. Make sure your entire bridal party is together and here 15 min prior to your appointments.
